Model 1891 Carbine Sight

What is the going price being asked for a Model 1891 Krag Carbine sight. A friend has one for sale but wants $300 with screws. That seems high, it is about 90%. I'd like to make him a reasonable offer but just don't know what ballpark to start in.

Is this for a US Krag? Better double check the model, no such thing as a US model 1891 Krag carbine sight.

1901 carbine sights usually sell between $125-200. They are fairly common, though, and can be found for less.

Thought I'd found another sleeping BoOF last night, but alas, barrel was 27" and s/n was way out of range.

Sorry about that "1891" Krag rifle sight request. Obviously I meant 1901. This old age gets to be very interesting at times!
