been trying for a while to locate a notched 30 06 field gauge. I know USGI types were compatable to not having to strip the bolt but there seems to be none available..Can anyone help?Thanks

That price was for the field test bolt. I think the HS gauges were $75 ea (provided he has the length you want).

Notch your own standard gage. I did it with mine using a cut off wheel in a dremel tool. Took standard gages and ground out an ejector notch and removed some of the rim to clear the extractor. You aren't changing the overall length by doing that.

Take it to any machine shop and let them do it. I did the same thing with my gages so I don't have to disassemble the bolt. If you have no shops close, send the gages to me and I'll do it. I own a machine shop. Real easy fix.

I have a US GI field gage in excellent condition. It can be yours for $25 delivered.

Rec the 3006 field gauge today but it is not the notched version of a USGI. I don't understand. Please get back to me..
