Would a WW1 era Rock Island stock be stamped RI on the end below the barrel?

Ok. Thanks for the info.
Now that I know that my RIA has a RI stock, time for my next question.
Is there any difference between a RIA bolt and a SA one? Just trying to get an idea of what's correct on my rifle.

Yes. Go to the link below. You'll have to find the markings on your bolt's safety lug or on its handle, then look those specific markings up on the site. If you have any trouble with it, ask for help.

Got around to checking my bolt with the chart. It appears to be Springfield WW1 era? Marked C 8 on the safety lug.

Yes, C8 is a double heat treated straight handle bolt made in 1918 at Springfield Armory. Just like a J5 bolt.
