model 12 trench gun question

Did all parkerized model 12 trench guns have fluted stocks? I have seen them with both but was wondering what was correct.

The very late ones have the unfluted stock. Saved a few $$ on production. That would only apply to the ORIGINAL FACTORY parked guns.

I agree, most of the parked Model 12s have unfluted oiled finish stocks, but some have fluted stocks. You can even find some of the late made blued Model 12 trench guns with unfluted oiled stocks. I have an unissued gun like that.
