I saw this online and purchased it for a future CMP match build. I thought it was a M1903A3 stock that someone cut grasping grooves into but now I'm not so sure. Any help with IDing this stock would be greatly appreciated.

Here are some photos:

The fingergrooves are properly tapered and very well done. This doesn't look like any of the reproductions or civilian modifications that I have seen.

The square cutout looks like that on Remington's transitional and 03A3 stocks.

The inletting here is odd. Other SA and Remington stocks I have seen have a ledge in there but the wood has been cut away on this stuck.

It looks like it has been inletted for a M1903A3 handguard ring:

Perhaps it's someone's Monday morning special?

If it is a M1903A3 stock, I'm not too disappointed as it was meant to replace my awful Boyds reproduction. It does feel skinnier than the Remington stocks I have encountered, however. If it is an original grasping groove stock, I'll be pleasantly surprised. I also posted this over on the CMP forum.
