Hey trying to finance another purchase so I'm putting this on the chopping block.
4 Digit serial number. Has nice metal and proofs are still present. But I believe this has been reblued at some point. I remember reading how several of these were refinished in the 1920s and 1930s following WWI. The volley sights have been removed and the stock disc has been filled.
The handguard has multiple "biscuit cuts" or armorer's repairs. The underside of the bolt is serial numbered to the receiver but I'm not sure if its force matched or if the Brits serialized the bolts. There's a small import mark on the right side of the barrel.
Bullet test shows that the bullet is almost down to the casing neck.
I tried to get as many pictures close up as I could but I'm no photographer.
At first the bore looked dark and rough. I ran a cleaning rod through it and it immediately cleaned up to bring and shiney with a lot of rifling. There's a few specks left I'm not sure if its very small pitts or if it'll clean up even more.
I haven't fired this it's just sat on the rack since I bought it, so have it inspected before firing.
