Let's get some Krag shooters together this year at the Nationals at Camp Perry. Madsenshooter and I will be shooting in the AM Relay on the Viale Range on Sunday Morning (July 19th). It would be great to have a bunch of Krags together firing in a line! Who's up for it???

The best laid plans of mice and men did not work out this year. Again. I will have to miss another Camp Perry season because of Dad passing away in January. Can't take the time off. Dang it. I wanted to get the lever action musket to the line.

Get pictures and have a fun time. It nearly came together for me this year. C'est la guerre.

CAMP PERRY 2016 or Bust.

Oh darn, I'd like to see that lever action being worked. I haven't seen one there yet, but I don't watch all relays.

Lack of travel budget, lack of time. Hadn't been to a match since high school ROTC.....1964.

Well, it appears the Parkerized Krag is ready. I got out to shoot some 190gr PRVI match bullets today. They do ok, 5 shot group 1.25" tall x .5" wide at 100yds I found quite a variation in the nose of the bullets resulted in as much as .030" difference in OAL. I trimmed them all the same length, 3.07 OAL seems to feed ok. I would guess velocity is 2200-2300fps. The rear sight was all the way down and I was using a 6 oclock hold on the SR1 target.

Don't know if I'll do that well, but I'm going give it the ole college try and give Bob a run for his money, LOL
