View Full Version : M1903 National Match Sights
What front and rear sights are used on a M1903 rifle to make it a National Match?

National match rear sights have the numbers centered on the sides. They are usually more deeply stamped. If you have sights to compare, they are easy to recognize.

What make and model are they?
When you think about it, the sights really don't make the rifle a National Match. A rifle could be put together by a guy in his basement using National Match parts, but would it then be a National Match rifle? I wouldn't think it would.
But I know what you meant. Don't mind me... I'm just the piano player.

National Match rifles used the same front and rear sights as service rifles. The sights, however, were carefully selected and fitted for precise adjustment with no slack or looseness
