I was invited through a daughter's museum membership to watch a screening of Tom Brokaw's D-DAY IMAX movie. I thought it was good, it helped me orient the names to the geography of the battlefield. It is obviously oriented toward the younger generation who have no idea about the basic history of WW-2's origins or progression. They use cgi pop-up books to explain things such as the Liberty ship, C-47, jeep, and so-on.
The film is liberally filled with CGI perhaps the best of which is of the invasion convoy. The CGI rocket firing Typhoons were good, too.

Even though it is dumbed down a bit it is still entertaining. Neat to see the wartime photos compared to today, with the old wounds healed. It's amazing how much of the Atlantic Wall and other German hardware is preserved.

It's produced by N3D Land Films.
