Posting here instead of Reloading. Have 1K+ DM 43 M2 ball which I plan to break down. Is the brass quality any good? I plan to run it through an ultrasonic after popping the caps and de-priming.

Why break it down? It's only ball ammo, just shoot it. I have fired 1000's of rounds of WWII ammo it all goes bang, just clean for corrosive after.
If you have lots of time. Once I found out how well my as issue Garand shoots with "uniformed" HXP I do it to all my Greek HXP ammo. I pull the bullets with an RCBS collett bullet puller & soak them in Simple Green. It will soften the tar type sealant enough to be easily wiped off with paper towel. I weigh 50 -100 powder charges to get an average weight then uniform all the powder charges when I re-assemble the rounds. I use acetone & q-tips to remove the tar sealant from the inside of the necks before I re-assemble. This "uniformed" shoots better in my Garands than the factory Hornady M1 Garand ammo. So I am happy to spend the time for the results.
