View Full Version : Marlin 336cs 30-30
Marlin 336cs from 1988. I picked this up in a trade. I have $200 invested. I had one years ago that I let get away from me. I think Ill hold on to this one. Missing the rear site but I have one on the way...might put a scope on it...anyhow here's a few pics of my latest find. Regards. Rich 31107311083110931110
Got the 336RC back in the 60's in .35 Rem cal. Many a whitetail has been laid low with that rifle, especially when in the hands of my son. He like the 200 grain slug.

Smokey...you are absolutely correct on the .35 Remington. When I stumbled into this trade at the lgs being there at the right time I said, Please Lord let this be a .35 Rem but alas it was a 30-30... but I can't complain for it being a JM Marlin for $200 that's been shot very little. Shop over the hill had a house branded .35 Rem for $275 but a straight grip works better for me. So I picked up a late '60s pump in '06 for about the same price out the door. Wish the Marlin had been a Texan.
