I'm taking both my lugers to the range tomorrow plus my S&W 686. Hope the day is clear and nice. Have a ammo box of 9mm and .357.:headbang:

neat... my Lugers are long gone, as are our Nambus & a nice Broomhandle .... once we owned some uncommon handguns... but our bills got paid....

Sorry they had to go Gimp. I bet they were awsome. Once in a while I take the broomhandle out just to blow the dust out of it. I have afew others that are not common anymore.

I have one Luger I no longer shoot. Its about a hundred year old (1917) and do not want to break any matched part.

I don't shoot them often but IMO it's a shame to let them sit.

never shoot anything above mid range loads.. or even the minimum in these old war horses...even if it doesn't cycle the action 100% of the time... there's no point in battering them with near max or max loads... you'll probably never use them as carry guns.... I did at one time carry a war time Walther PPK 7.65mm that is DRP marked, as an off duty piece.. heck I even let the oldest daughter carry it when she jogged on our farm roads always with our old personal protection trained Lab/Irish wolfhound as escort...Then we saw what one was listed for on Gun Broker... that was the last time it was carried.

My reloads are just enough to cycle the action. The Broomhandle is in .30 mauser. I tried data from 2 sources and neither would cycle the action. After increasing the load .1 gr at a time until it cycled. I was 1 grain over the published max but not over published FPS.
