On Saturday went to local shop for 30-06 brasss, bought a 50 count bag of Winchester.
Was going to reload and pulled some cases from the bag and looked inside, noticed that there is a "donut", surronding the primer pocket that APPEARS to be standing above the rest of the interior case surface.
Checked a bag of .308 brass, bought last fall and it had the same situation.
Located thr remains of 7MM Mag brass [also Winchester) that was bought on 2010, it had the same markings.
To me it looks like a remake of the "balloon-head" case of the blackpowder are that were not suited for modern powders and pressures.
Has anyone notice this or have further information.
Thanks.
