This bayonet was made at Springfield Armory in 1918. It has a crack running the length of the left grip that I've repaired with really good glue and it will not come apart without using acetone. The grips are solid otherwise and have never been sanded or worn.
A soldier had lightly touched up around the tip of the blade on both edges for a very short distance too. It is hardly noticeable and I only mention it to be accurate. I feel that this does not detract form its collectability as I do not think that this was done by a civilian Bubba. The bayonet and scabbard is very clean and sharp otherwise. It shows very little use and still has most of its original finish on the steel. I've brought the price down on it accordingly do to the repaired left grip. $299.00 If anyone wants this, please post "I'll take it" and that'll end the sale where everyone can see it. Then private message me to exchange information. Paypal is best and I can then ship it out to you immediately upon your payment going into my PayPal account. Otherwise, a USPS Money Order will do.
