Just a note:
Playing with my RIA full size 1911a1 last week, ran a box of no-name (50) thru it at an indoor range. Went and did a full detail strip and had problems due to the tightness of the wee beastie in putting it back together. My bad. My 70+ yr old Remington Rand 1911a1 goes together so easily I'm jaded. But I did find out that the Hammer looks like it was a MIM (Metal Injection Moulding) piece. Because the surface where the sear mates, during full cock, is rounded over. So a call into Sarco and Numrich for bits of N.O.S. (hammer, hammer pin, and hammer strut). For my local 1911 master to put in for me.
