Sorry, no pics yet. I'm trying to determine if this may be correct.

M1922 stock

Barrel Date 4-30
Star gauge
Polished bolt, NS stamped, SN etched

Thanks in advance

Keith

Thanks Tom. Is it possible it's still okay or does that make it put together?

Some NM rifles and NRA Sporters were not listed on SRS. Is there a chance of posting pictures? That would probably tell the tale.

Few cell phone photos. Opinions appreciated. Is front site problematic?

Looks like one to me, although the pictures are a little hard to get much from. The front sight was changed.

33299Apparently, it was used for target shooting, as was mine. If desired, the original blade should be easy to find/restore.

1. That serial number falls in with a lot of SRS listed NRA Sporters and the number is consecutive to a couple of them.
2. Replacement stocks purchased from the DCM were not circle P proofed.
3. Barrel date is appropriate. My listed sporter #13444309 has a 2-30 bbl.
4. Bolt number should be etched on the bottom. (concealed by extractor when the bolt is out of the rifle.)
5. Rear sight should have hinged, turn down, peep in the front of the aperture.

All this is circumstantial evidence but where would a person wanting to fake one find a receiver that was serial numbered consecutive to listed NRA Sporters? Where would he find a properly dated barrel?

I am confident that the rifle an authentic NRA Sporter.
