Way too wet to play outside today so it's brass prep in the workshop.
500 rnds of LC 01 sized, swaged, annealed and trimmed. Now working on 500 rnds of DAG. Decapped and sized, annealing and trimming will get done this afternoon. Gotta love those Giraud tools. Makes life so much easier than it used to be.

I have been using the Giraud annealer now for a few years. It's powered and uses small propane camping gas cylinders. Basically, I size and decap the brass, uniform the primer pockets and get the stuff good and clean. Load a few hundred cases into the feed tray and let her rip. Then I set the machine's torch so the rainbow on the brass extends about 1/4 inch below the shoulder. The Giraud has a speed control so it gets set at what looks right to my eye. The brass drops into the stainless steel dog bowl and when that gets near full, I dump it into a 20mm ammo can until is is cool. Then I scoop out a bunch and run it through the Giraud trimmer. The plastic trays I use hold about 500 rnds each. The get marked as to the brass and number of loadings then stored on a shelf near my loading bench. I anneal mainly to get consistent neck tension for my precision bolt rifles.

nf1e , where did you get those plastic bins? They seem sturdy.

Staples Office supply. Each holds about 400 .308 cases. They come in different sizes. I prefer the 3 liter.
