Up for sale is an exceptionally nice Remington Rand 1911A1. Serial #12998xx. From what I can tell from Charles Clawson's book, it appears to be all original and correct, and manufactured late 1943. This pistol is in excellent condition with a minty "HS" barrel, and only a couple of minor finish marks. It comes with buyer's choice of either a "S" (Scovil) or "G" (General Shaver) mag.
This pistol will make a fine addition to someone's collection. It's the last of my 20 year collection of WWII handguns and carbines, and is being sold because my son, sad to say, is more interested in Kimbers and Black Rifles. It needs a custodian who will appreciate it and it's history.
Please contact me with your email address, and I'd be happy to answer any questions, and provide whatever photos you require.
Price is REDUCED to $2,350,00 [/B[B]***SPF***. You'd be hard pressed to find nicer for the money.
Thanks to several of you for your interest, but I'm not in a position to consider trades on this one.
