View Full Version : Late 1903
Latest acquisition and a very late1903. The SA barrel is dated 2/42 and the bolt appears to be an early one. The stock has a CSAA rebuild mark with a small R marked in the cutoff and an M stamped in front of the trigger guard.345863458734588

What type of stock (can't tell from the pictures)? I'd be willing to bet the receiver and barrel are original, even though manufactured 3-4 years apart.

Grasping groove? Scant? Non-grasping groove?

Looks like a nice rifle! Could we see a couple of more "overall" shots? I believe the receiver dates from ca. 1938 but was probably assembled in 1942 with the current barrel as "original".
I will try but am limited by only having a cell phone.

'Tis indeed a very high serial number, and one of the last ones made. The 2-42 barrel is probably original.
Thanks for sharing!

p.s.,
I thought I posted an earlier comment a couple of days ago. But I don't see it.
