NM '03 SRS Check

It's on GB, serial number is 1271603

I have a SRS listed 1929 NM that's well used but still shoots great, I've been looking for a pristine one for over a year now, I just want to make sure it's the real deal http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=548585700

I know the seller is asking a lot for it, but I've seen a few other NM '03's in lessor condition going for the same price.

That's a fine minty National Match 03!
just for comparison, here's a link to a post of mine five months ago where I showed some photos of my 1920 National Match 1903. When I put it up for sale soon, I'd like to get something close to the price asked for the one you posted a link to. There couldn't be many in such condition as these. Mine is about 97 years old. I guess there are some minty N.M. 03's still out there yet.

I want to let the forum know that I did not buy the NM 1903 linked in my first post, but instead I purchased Fred's 1920 National Match 1903 linked in his post above. It is without a doubt the finest pre-WWII MilSurp rifle in my collection and I am very happy to own it; it will be in my collection for many years to come.

Thank YOU jay. You're going to really enjoy having that rifle! You'll probably be the first person to shoot it after it was bought and used at the Camp Perry National Matches in 1920.

I'm enjoying it greatly already, Fred.

The barrel is amazing, practically new, throat and muzzle erosion are both just under 0 (Stone Axe and Duff's respectifically) and the headspace is 2.050" (Clymer). I may not ever shoot it...more then a few times :D
