I have a 1903 Springfield rifle I got from my father. He got it from someone who had "customized" it by sawing the stock and rasping it down, removing the top wood and then the bayonet attachment was slid down to hold the stock to the barrel. I hunted with it all through High School. It is super accurate.

A few years ago, I bought a new stock and restored it to original. I also bought one of the long bayonets and I got a 10 round magazine from Numrich Arms:

I removed the floor plate but I cannot get the magazine to snap into place. Has anyone bought one of these and how did you get it to fit??

there is a little clip on the side of the magazine you may have to file some of it off to get it to fit as it wasnt made for your exact model

The air service magazine held 25 rounds. If you have a 10 round magazine I think it would be an aftermarket item.

I, personally, would not mess with a 10 round magazine. Use 5 round stripper clips as was intended for the rifle.
