Berrys 30/30 plated bullets

I recently purchased 1000 30/30 Berrys plated bullets. These bullets are top notch plated 150 gr. 30 cal. bullets. Load data should be cast bullet data.
My load consists of 12 gr's of green dot in 30/06 with a COL of 3.160.
Outstanding accuracy, low recoil and clean burning. At 100 yards and below this is a good deer load with shot placement at heart or lung. Neck or head is also included.

I've only used Berrys bullets in pistols. I like them and they perform very well.

These are copper plated bullets not coated. Coating your own bullets is time consuming and you need the all the equipment and oven. Also a contained area to spray the bullets. I do not believe the process is warranted for my end of the sport.

Not so ,read the posts in the cast bullet web sight. There's no spraying involved there's no mess involved we are using the shake and bake method this Is not just a coating of paint this is a Baked in polymer unlike the plated bullets .

For all my pistol loads I just use cast lead bn18 except for .45 colt bn12. .460 mag I load jacketed only because 2000 FPS.

Berrys plating is an electrical process using soft lead and copper. He uses forming dies to obtain the shape of the bullet. I don't want to personally coat lead bullets. I want to shoot, not frick around with shake and bake easy bake oven antics.
For griminny sakes I started this thread about Berrys plated bullets, not cookie sheet crap. And I also think all the different colors are not normal in my opinion. I will stay with the color of copper and lead....that's normal!
And your (not so) is (not so) because it involves another process which is why I bought the Berrys in the first place. Also, you still need a separate oven as you can't use your household oven. You don't mix industrial chemicals with food preparation.
If you wish to coat your bullets yourself.....go ahead....but it's not for me and probably alot more people than you think.

We guarantee our Standard Bullets to handle velocities up to 1,250 fps, and up to 1,500 fps for the bullets designated as TP (thick plated).

Our 30-30 and 45-70 bullets can handle velocities up to 1,700 fps.

Our 7.62x39 bullets can handle velocities up to 1,900 fps

Our 30 Carbine bullets can handle velocities up to 1,950 fps.

Our 500 S&W bullets can handle velocities up to 2,000 fps.

You can also use the reduced loads at the Hodgdon's website with H4895 and Trail Boss, the Trail Boss loads will have a better loading density.
