My gun club has a buy/sell page on their web site. Found these two bayonets for $30 each. One is marked 1912 and the other is marked 1922. I am no bayonet expert but I THINK they are original and I THINK they are worth more than $30 each. Please tell me if I am wrong!!! I know that the pictures are not the best but they are all I have.3534035341

If they have the correct markings then you can't go wrong for $30. A 1905 can go from $100 and up.

You're right, the pictures are awful! :evil6: (But you probably couldn't go wrong at $30 each for the Model 1910 scabbards alone.)

Hope we hear more from you 5MF. I've missed your very informative posts.

We'll do one off the top of the head. I guess I could check my tables but I suspect I remember enough.

Springfield made the M-1905 bayonet from 1906 to 1922. "Key dates." Exactly. 1922 and 1916 off the top of my head with 1922 being the rarest. "Lowest production year." Two are pictured with "1922" being listed for one. That's a gem.

The scabbards, in spite of the damage, are worth more than $30 each. So buy the scabbards for $30 each, a heck of a deal, and get the two bayonets absolutely free. We'll sweeten the offer by including the hard to find 1922 dated bayonet as one of the two.

Act fast, this is a limited time offer, not available in Alaska or Hawaii.

If you're disappointed for any reason, send me the 1922 and I'll refund your $60 and shipping. Yes, you read that right. If you're not satisfied for any reason send me the 1922 dated one for a full refund and you get to keep the other with no further obligation to buy. We think this offer is so sweet that, in spite of the full refund, we'd be ripping you off.

Buy them quickly.

I found out that there were not two bayonets, just looked like to because of a badly written for sale ad where the seller posted two different sets of pictures and listed two different manufacture dates (result of a typo). I did buy the bayonet and wanted to post some better pictures. Look them over and tell me what you think. It has been sharpened a little. Is the blade supposed to be blued? Any info would be great.
