Magnum primers.
100 yards.
6 O'Clock hold.
I simply blow the unburned kernels out the chamber. Cheap fun shooting.

Yep, the 45-70 came out in 1873.
That is a model 1866.
Read about The Wagon Box Fight where the 1866 was used to great advantage against the Sioux and Red Cloud.
