Books..what's a worthy book or two regarding 1873/newer Trapdoor Springfields?

Carbine accessories like carbine boots and rings...I don't want a carbine boot but have just really grasp the concept of being strapped to your carbine and getting jousted from the saddle carbine and all....doesn't seem to be any close-up period pics of a trooper..his horse and how the carbine boot ties onto his horse gear....

http://www.jouster.com/forums/showthread.php?39762-Trapdoor-carbine-trigger-bow This person's question..I am curious too

Springfield Armory quality(I only own four 'genuine' Springfields..a post-war Garand and a couple Trapdoors plus a sported 1898 Krag)...fit and function seem impeccable! Of course I also have a couple Rock Islands and an Eddystone...plus a couple General Motors produced carbines. All seem top notch.

Random Trapdoor talk please

Al Frasca's "The .45-70 Springfield" is very comprehensive.

His site also includes some general trapdoor information that you might find interesting.
