A glock 19 chambered for 45 gap. Is it safe to fire 45acp in this pistol? Thanks

I am sure if you contact Glock or an ammunition manufacture they will try to discourage you from attempting to use the wrong ammo for your pistol. The 45ACP is slightly longer (.898 in (22.8 mm) vs. .755 in (19.2 mm)) and would not fully chamber in a 45GAP chamber. Glock pistols have had problems with cases bulging in high pressure cartridges because the cartridge is not fully supported in the chamber. The 45ACP is a lower pressure cartridge but with more of the cartridge exposed the chance of a case rupture increase. I think you should avoid the use ammunition not designed for your pistol.
