I've decided, since I had trouble with a hangup, to put in a new recoil spring. I think it will be 16# since that's what comes from the factory. Now, the on-line advertisements are favoring the flat Wilson spring.....I have more faith in the people here than I do in advertisements. Midway has round springs....Brownell's has the flat springs.....Which do you like......thanks,

From http://www.ctspring.com/press/2012/03/stranded-and-shaped-wire-springs

Shaped wire is defined as wire with a cross-sectional shape other than round, and is usually produced by cold rolling. Typical shapes include square, rectangular, or "keystone", a triangular wedge-shaped wire. Using chrome silicon shaped wire rather than traditional carbon steel material produces a spring that can withstand additional intense shock and higher heat.

I am seeing more new pistols manufactured with other than round springs.
