If the one with the incorrect heat shield brought $8000, what's this going to go for?

The seller is Rick Crosier of Waddy Kentucky.
He deals in very high end military arms.
A realistic price for a gun like that should be $5-6K, in my opinion.
However, you never know. Some idiot agreed to pay $8k for the other one, watch this one go for $2500

Rick does come across some nice collections.
This one will bring 5500- 6k.
There are some flaws......under the end on the heatshield the barrel has a series of small dents.
And the front bayo swivel squashed in on the sides,possible replacement.
Still a nice example.

I don't want to sound conceited, but as nice as that one was, I have a nicer one. # 955552, one of the last made, an it does not have the cheapie green M1 sling. It has a minty 1943 dated M1907. I started out as a US martial arms collector and would up collecting Winchester levers and 22's. scosgt has been a friend for many years. Big Larry

It may have been. My consecutive serial number WW1 Winchester's were Pat's as was my Ithaca

I remember finding a 99% M97 WW2 Trenchgun on the Internet a few years ago, that was consecutive to the one I had. Unfortunately, it was priced way out of my reach, so I passed on it.
Most of my collection was bought when they were cheap. Weren't so cheap when I sold them. I didn't know Mr. Redmond had passed. Shows how long I have been out of the US martial arms collectors circuit.

Pat died in 2000. He was a great guy, but he was about 6'4" and must have weighed close to 400 pounds. Sadly it caught up with him.
