Just wanted to know if get a hit Serial #919

Rifle has dimpled butt, vice marks on a SA 6-42 barrel, finger groove stock,big P without circle behind trigger guard, C8 straight bolt, hatcher hole. Ill try and post pictures later.

It sound like a Marine rebuild from your description. Here is what I have that is Marine around it.

Thanks for the check on my four digit serial numbers.

This SA serial number 1031506 was purchased in the early 1960's and believed to be a USMC
rifle, but to date without a SRS "hit"3857438575385763857738578 barrel is Sedgley 9-41

Anytime. Yeah that one is very safe to say as being a Marine rifle. There absolutely no doubt in my opinion.

There is a hit about 16 digits off to a 2nd Marine Regiment rifle. The Marines did have a directive that low numbers were not to be used with Rifle Grenades, so you see a lot of high numbers going to the Infantry. So never know, a close 2nd Regiment hit, and a 9/41 barrel date, one starts to wonder where it might have served. :) Wouldn't it be neat to know?

Thanks again for checking my serial numbers, did you notice the darker color on the Sedgley barrel
