Years ago, in my misspent youth, a friend showed me a switchblade that his father had brought back from his Uncle Sam sponsored trip to Germany in the 1950s.
I do not remember the manufacturer, only that it was made in Germany. It had stag handles, was about 10" long closed, and it opened with a SNAP, not a weak click like Italian switch blades. In fact, being dumb kids, my buddy held the knife about 6 inches away from his homes wood siding and pressed the button. SNAP - the double edged tip buried itself into the wood siding!
I have picked up every switchblade that I have seen in my adult life, and have never seen a Made in Germany switchblade, or found one that opens with such authority.
Where can I find one of these German switchblades, and do all German switchblades have such a powerful spring?
Thanks!
