I have an 1873 model Cadet Rifle with the following barrel markings.
On the top of the barrel, near the receiver is what appears to be the bottom part of the letter A, not completely stamped.
On the bottom of the barrel is stamped a symbol similar to a small letter s ,and below it is the letter P, and below that a small y. These are the only markings on the barrel and it has the Buffington sight.
This rifle is number 203XXX and has a 2 piece trigger guard with a serrated trigger and sling swivel.
The stock is the correct length, with 9 inch comb, and has no markings, and the butt plate tang has what appears to be
113 stamped on it.
Any information about this rifle will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Paul
