Yes, BUT
Someone has blued it (not re-blued,you are correct it came from the factory parked).

Although, the serial on the barrel is in an odd place. Someone may have buffed it out and added the markings.
There is one sure way to tell.
The real ones are SOLID FRAME. That is to say, the barrel does not have interrupted threads, nor does the receiver, it has to be screwed all the way in and out.

This is a picture of the barrel threads.
If I determine it is real, should I have it restored
By parkerizing it?
Also are these pretty common or hard to find?
Thanks for your help.

I believe it is real.
Just leave it alone.
The markings on the barrel look to have been buffed, but who the hell knows maybe they made some blued ones.

Do you have any idea what this is?

nope, but that picture reveals a lot:
1. There is quite a bit of rust and pitting
2. The markings were applied AFTER it was blued (that is pretty obvious to the eye). Therefore, since those are NOT factory marks, whatever they are, the gun has indeed been redone.

It is however a rare gun, very hard to find, I would just leave it alone.

The more you restore it, the less it will be worth.

I will just leave it alone and keep it as is.
I just though since it was obviously re-blued
I would be improving the gun by parkerizing it.
Would any one know what the aproximate value of
This gun would be? I can't find anything on the web
To compare it. I need for insurance purposes
Thanks for the advice

Impossible to say.
I bought a mint correct one for $1200.
I think I got a bargain.
Yours is not mint and not correct.
