I am looking for a Marlin 39a 22 rifle bolt assembly. The rifle was made in the late 1940s to 1950s range. I believe it has an S suffix in the serial number.

I recently bought one of these without the bolt, came from an estate where all the guns had the bolts removed and they could not find any of them. I gave $100 for it as a parts rifle. I searched Ebay and GB for a bolt, eventually found a parts lot on GB for $100, culled the bolt out of it, resold the remaining parts for the same $100, ended up with a mint working 39a for $100 total. I would offer that you keep an eye on both sites as bolts/parts do show up from time to time. Also post a WTB ad on the Marlin Owners forum if you have enough posts to do so. I collect Marlins and will keep an eye out for you.

Hey thanks. That bolt is a bit rough for my rifle. Also I understand there are 3 different types of bolts. My rifle is a 39a MOUNTY. Do you know what model bolt I need for my rifle?
