I just picked up a Model that had been converted to a floor lamp. All there, 100 percent including the ramrod.
They did not touch the bore which is just fine, needs some cleaning.
They drilled a hole in the receiver on the left side just forward of the hinge.
I need a receiver! any help appreciated, thanks.40966
All the best,
Mark
If that hole was for the lamp cord, the male threads of the barrel are compromised also. --Jim
Heck have it welded in and machined down inside and out.

sounds good to me, Fred.
I have an old reconverted flint lock rifle made in 1834 that I welded up the big threaded hole left in th barrel when I unscrewed the Drum.
It's held up under shooting.
I guess that a gunsmith could fresh out the chamber to 45-70.
My advice though is to scrap the rifle for parts if you bought it already. I wouldn't personally shoot that one after trying to weld it up.

Right now the plan is to send it off to Bob Hoyt fro repair.
Thanks all,

Heck, I've been looking for that lamp forever! Sell me the lamp and buy another to shoot!
