Been looking for a while and finally found one, only down side is bubba polished and try to jewel the bolt. ME measured at 1, serial is 4119814 if someone can check the SRS books.
I may have paid a bit too much, but it also came with 190rds of commercial 30-06. I got it for $650. https://scontent.fphx1-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/18813908_1919228221650585_6557455874762140071_n.jp g?oh=630af5c227642cb5041af36303e394c2&oe=59DEC7A7

Altered bolt handle plus clearance cut for the bolt handle. new bolt-cheap. New stock-not so cheap. Since you need to change the bolt, get a replica A4 bolt and not worry about the stock.

Not to worry. With the ammo, you got a good value for your money. Try Dupage Trading for a new bolt. Regards, Clark

Stocks for 03-A3s are on ebay from $160 up. Check out 03-A3 bolts on Amherst-Depot.

nice job,

would do the same rather than get a new stock,,

bolt/extractor are cheap, just be sure to check headspace

someone like Rick B could probably make the repair all but disappear. worth looking into repairing vs a new stock.

Repair or replace? A lot depends on the general condition of the original stock. It looks like it may have been refinished in the photos.
If so, we can't tell from the photo angle if the original proof/inspector stampings and cartouche are still crisp or are faint or were sanded away. Some collectors look for stampings. Replacement stocks and bolts are available at fairly reasonable prices so at least Dragonfly knows he has options. The repair looks pretty good.

Being a C type stock it would only have been original to an 03-A4. Probably a Keystone replacement stock and would not have had original markings.

Does anyone recognize the bolt?

I love an 03 and the C type stock. I only have that grip on my 1922 M2
I am looking for the proper stock for my Smith Corona 03 A3. New gun but some SOB hacked the stock around the barrel band.

Any markings would probably have been obliterated when the bolt handle was altered. The original Remington Bolt would have been marked with an R on the flat on the bottom of the bolt handle (next to the bolt body).

There's a Smith Corona Type 10 for 03-A3 on eBay. No top hand guards.
