View Full Version : Need ID help on a Receiver Aperture Peep Sight
There are some numbers (assembly codes ?), a few diamonds with numbers (inspector codes ?), H634 ( model No. ?), and what looks like a bow & arrow stamp on the slide. The sight is very similar to the old Lyman 525 over under for the Winchester target 52 or 54.
Any thoughts.....Thanks
Judging from letters on knobs it's a russian made receiver sight
Russian-made at Izhevsk Plant according to bow & arrow mark.
The "B" should be for "вверх" which means "up," the "H" should be something like "ниже" which means "lower." the other dial I couldn't see too well, but might have a "л" for "лево" (or inverted V) which means "left," and a "п" looking character which means "право" or "right."
You nailed it.....Thank You
