Didn't always agree with him, but for what he endured in North Vietnam I have the utmost respect for him.

Everybody dies (except Hillary, who I think may turn out to be immortal), usually more or less miserably. Should that grim fact of life make us forget the harm they did in life?
it is true, no one gets out of here alive.
Long after the world ends there will be nothing left living except cockroaches and hillary.

John McCain was a friend to NDN people, to the best of his ability. He and Stu Udall put together the Udall=-McCain settlement of the so-called Navajo-Hopi land dispute way back when. The (white, liberal) support groups bombed congress with letters and phone calls opposing the "genocidal" Udall-McCain settlement. The final settlement of that dispute was nowhere near as good for the people as Udall McCain. We settled it and it was a lousy settlement.
John McCain, you did some good, you did some harm, but your heart was in it all the way.

So Sen. McCain, with maybe 20 weeks to live, took the bullet for all the other R senators who didn't want to vote against the Prez, but knew the bill was a POS.
