The Enterprise was the queen of the fleet in the 1960s. The Navy loved to run her around the Med during those Cold War years. The connections I made while serving 2 years reserve duty paved the way for a 34 year career with GE. I saw more naval power and ports of call than most sailors but was probably too young at the time to really appreciate it.
