Hi, new to the forum and I am hoping someone could help me or point me in the right direction. I recently picked up an interesting enfield. It started out as a 1913 enfield #1 mk3 no astericks. It appears it was converted to .410 in ishapore according to the 1932 rif .410 stamp. In its current configuration it is a .22lr rifle. It has a magazine but it is hollow. There are no marks anywhere indicicating it's an.22lr. I have heard of the modern .22 conversion but this is for a rifle chambered for .303. Any help would be appreciated!

"...the modern .22 conversion..." Wasn't a conversion or modern.
Bubba's been busy with that one. The Mk III's converted to .410 went to Indian Police and game wardens, mostly. Kind of odd for one to be rebarreled to .22 LR, but all the mags for Lee-Enfield .22's are hollow. None of 'em are mag fed. The mag is there to catch the empties. Should have a follower with a hole in it that acts as a sort of feed ramp. As it sits it has no collector value, but .22 calibre Lee-Enfields tend to shoot like hot dam.
