This helps to make sense of it all:

Maybe the the manufacturers should outfit personal computers, laptops, etc., with breathalyzers.

Vern, got a question for you. With your experience what shoulder weapon do you find near perfect? I prefer the Mini but that is just my opinion. I really enjoy the PTR-91, just no where locally to really shoot it.

First of all, what do you want it FOR?
For general carry and self defense, I choose the M1911 -- mine is a Kimber MK I Custom Classis (basic model) I've had for about 22 years.
For combat, I always liked the M14 -- I have used both the M1 and M14 in combat and the secret is PENETRATION. When the lead flies, people will get behind things and you have to shoot through them.
For home defense, I like a pump shotgun -- mine is a 12 gauge Ithaca Model 37.
For hunting small game, I like a bolt action .22 -- my favorite is a Kimber M82.
For medium to large game (on this continent) I like a .30-06 bolt action. My favorite is a Winchester M70 made in 1939.
For a machinegun, I love the M240C, our current gun.

For a shotgun I like the 870 with OO buck, my PDW is the Sig P220. Previous was the 1911 retired my Rem-Rand and my daughter acquired my Springfield Armory.

Alcohol also increases the tendency to stray off topic.
Just teasing. :1948:

So does my old age, although with my wife it is a learned defense mechanism!:icon_wink:
