Try clicking New Post at the top of the page or check your General Settings in Forum Actions. This may help. I did not see a change in format with the new site.

The Recent Activity page ought to be illuminated, its been blank for a long time.

It appears my phone was switched off of desktop view! Fellow shooter JB White had the answer and hats off to him. The other viewing screen had no controls, very limited and a pain to look at the lists of threads.
