View Full Version : Spring cleaning and maintenace of optics.
Been busy as a one armed paper hanger lately getting ready for the Spring shooting season. This morning when I went down into the shop and looked at the pile of scopes to be cleaned I decided to lay out one of each of the different types of optics that I use on the M14.
Half the fun is in the cleaning, remounting and re-sighting. A couple of weeks and these and the rest should all be ready for the season.

And a fine looking piece of radio gear to boot.
Red dot to high mag stuff, clip on night vision and your bases are covered.

Thanks. There is a JRC to the right and a Collins KW-S1 and 75-A4 to the left. Gotta keep warm in the Winter.

I am too old to sneak around at night shooting these days. I did us a Starlight on an M14 in Viet Nam in the 60s though.
Are you saying that you us all of these on a m14? There is some nice glass in that pile.
How do you find the reticle of the Eotech ? At first I found it disconcerting but am getting used to it.

Yep, sure do. Recently added a ATACR 5-25x56MM F1 from Night Force. I think I am in love. I also have bunch of Leupold MK IV 8.5-25 on precision rifles and a few more MkIV 3.5-10s along with an assortment of others. It's all fun.

Not my favorite for sure. I like the Nikon red dot much better.
