As most know, two years ago in May I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Rectal and Liver cancer. I was bleeding like a stuck hog and was admitted from the E.R. @ one point I dropped 120 lbs in 4 months, had two stage of max chemo with radiation treatment. Last October no sign of cancer, including two liver biopsy's. Had the scope two weeks ago, 3 polyps were found where the cancer had been, were removed and sent to biopsy. Got the report back today from my Dr., Praise the Lord, still no cancer! Had a C/T done yesterday as part of continuing tx and won't have to see my Oncologist until 30 July. Another scope done on 16 July and every 90 days for two years.

Fantastic news.
Good luck in July.
I head back to the VA the middle of next month for my next visit.
Just had 2 sheets worth of blood tests drawn yesterday.
I am keeping my fingers crossed.
They keep finding more things related to AO.

Great news. It's quite an accomplishment to recover from stage 4 cancer no mater what kind it is. Unfortunately it seems that cancer has to be somewhat advanced before a patient observes discomfort and before a doctor would know where and what to look for. From what all I hear if someone is treated for stage 1
cancer it was discovered by accident.

I had been feeling worn out and run down, then started bleeding from the rectum like crazy. I am A- so not that much blood around, didn't need any so I am thankful. One of the worst parts was the nurse coming in to give me something to help me sleep, as if I needed something I was so worn out. God, Praise His Holy Name, let me have the disease to change my life for the better. I am much better off physically then I was and God continues to open doors for me to walk through. The only thing that God requires of me is TO BELIEVE, it is that simple. Many times I don't have to ask, God provides more then what I need.:banana100::hello::fish:

I am A- so not that much blood around,

You probably know this but "O" is a universal donor. They can even change the + to - or - to +. An "O" donor can give blood to anyone but you can only give blood to an "A" patient and "O" is by far the most common. Nothing to worry about there.

Great news Sam and I'm happy for you.

In a similar vein, I heard from Da Gimp. He had a serious reoccurrence but now his tests are all coming back clean. After a full body scan there are no signs of cancer.
May you both awake to cherish every single day.

Yea there is, I hate needles to the nth degree. I am keeping the port in my chest so that I am "easy" to puncture.

Happy to hear that Sam. Hope you good luck continues. Attended a funeral for an old friend of mine on Monday. He had throat cancer and after all treatments did not last long. Hang in there!

I'd be doing much better if I could build as good as you can...still trying. Tried my hand at laying bricks one time, my foot suffered when I dropped them!:eusa_wall::icon_redface::eusa_shhh:

I need all the prayers I can get, a good thought never hurts. So far all tests come back looking good, body continues to heal from the radiation and chemo that killed the cancer.
