rebuild stamp on early Rock Island stock

This single bolt Rock Island stock has a faint but still readable L.T.T. stamp to the lower right of
the faint Rock Island cartouche. Another collector has also found this L.T.T. stamp on his 1903
stock.

Anyone have any information on this marking ?43578

The L.T.T. stamp originates from an unknown location and dates from about 1942.
