I am selling my USMC 1903 Springfield, which was carried by a US Marine who served in China before the war. The rifle was previously discussed here—
http://www.jouster2.com/forums/showthread.php?37207-SRS-check-on-reported-USMC-rifle-and-an-early-RIA-03&highlight=1009445
By the way, it is just the USMC Springfield rifle, not the RIA rifle.
This rifle seems to be all 1918 period parts, USMC sights and sight cover comes with 1919 dated bayonet and 1918 sling— just as it came to me. I will happily send photos to those that ask. Just email your request to—
kb466@hotmail.com. The rifle came out of the estate of a marine who retired from the Corps in 1938 or 1939. This was his rifle during his service as a Marine. For the buyer, I will provide his name and details of his life and service as I know them.
Price on this is $3000 shipped. If it doesn’t sell in the next week, it will be off to Gunbroker. Email me any questions. Thanks!
