Oh, c'mon. They are a pharmacy, they sell, get well stuff. How is cigarettes compatible with that? Small town?

looks fishy to me...the plastic overlay covers the scanner and is too reflective, customer may have been playing a joke

Not only do they not sell tobacco or tobacco related products, their policy is their employees must be non-smokers. That crusade came down from the top well over a decade ago and was implemented in a most Draconian fashion.

Sunray, per your query CVS is a national chain store down here in the lower 48.
