A new weather man was stationed near an Indian reservation, at the same time a new chief was selected. Both wanted to make a good first impression so the Chief went to inquire about the upcoming winter weather. The weatherman did not know who the Chief was and said it would be mild but it wouldn't hurt to have extra firewood. The Chief told his people the same and advised it wouldn't hurt to gather a little extra firewood. Several weeks went by and the Chief went back for an update, the weatherman said that signs showed the possibility of a little harder winter. The Chief said to gather more firewood...just in case. About a month before the start of winter the Chief went back for a last report. The weatherman was now concerned and told the Chief that the new signs showed a heavy winter with much snow. The Chief asked how the weatherman was so sure, what was the "signs" of a hard winter. The weatherman said that daily he drives past the Indian reservation and the occupants were gathering and storing firewood like crazy! Better to have it and not need it then to need it and not have it.:hello:
