I know the 50-70 Trapdoor stock has a flat on the left side. Did Springfield change the profile later on to one more along the lines of the 45-70 on the left or were they all produced with the flat?

ALL original pre-1873 trapdoors, from the Model 1865 through the Model 1870, including the reduced-size Cadet arms, had the two pronounced stock flats, and a beveled lock-plate. NO .50-70 rifles should EVER have a rounded stock.

Thanks than is another model stock. It has the spoon in the barrel channel and no provision for the cleaning rod retainer in the front of the barrel channel.

I should have also said that ALL of the preceding musket stocks ALSO had the flats. Bubba has been at your stock.
