Hi Gents,

I'm looking for some information on a U.S. Army Veteran. I purchased a small lot of Army equipment a few years ago that had some uniform parts. There was a Green Garrison Cap (with Q.M. Corp piping) with some information scribbled on the inside of the lining. It tells an interesting story of travel and service. Here is the story it tells:

G.R. Romero #39601145

Ft. Lewis, WA 03-06-1941

Ft. Ord, CA 06-09-1941
CO:A: 204th Q.M. Bn.

Ft Dix, NJ 02-21-1943

Casablanca, North Africa 03-18-1943

Italy 09-09-1943

Rome, Italy 06-08-1944

That's when the writing ends.

I pray that he made it back Home alive and safe.

I've tried to do some research on this soldier but have had very little luck. Can anyone shed some light on this person?

Thanks for the records on this gentleman. He DID make it Home to the states and got married in 1946. He died of old age in 2012 and is buried in Madera Co., CA.
