Took just over a year, but finally got Silvassa ready for sunlight.
Stock is one of the last that Wade was doing. She has been sitting in the shop just itching for an action.
Well , today is the day. Bula Defense Systems XM21 6.5 Creedmoor.
22" 6.5 NM barrel. All Bula parts. Scope is Leupold MK 4 3.5 - 10.
Cheek riser is Tac-Pro strap on. Off for photos of stock.

Beautiful rifle!

The tractor and truck aren't bad either.

Supposed to be in the 50s tomorrow so there will be some serious range time with multiple firearms.

Very poor results with the rifle in that stock. Just would not settle into better than 1.5" at 100. Put it in a GI fiberglass and about 3/4" groups. Back to the drawing board.
Looks like the dickens was filled out of the stock liner before I got it. For now, the stock is going back on the rack. Will make another attempt after I replace the liner. Pretty, but not a shooter at this point, and if it don't shoot, it's firewood.

Some you win, some you loose, others just flop around looking stupid.

Guess it needs to be bedded but then you can't readily change out the stocks which is a perk of the M1A's.

Will probably go in a JAE chassis which will take it down under .5 moa.
Only 1 of my 3 doz plus M14 type rifles is bedded. Don't plan on ever doing that to another rifle.
Modern chassis are the solution for precision out of the M14.
To old to shoot in military as issued any more so that's not even a concern.

To bad because that stock has a great look to it.

Thanks. Will be changing the stock liner later today and it will become home to one of my standard M14 type rifles. I was a little disappointed that it is what it is, but we can't always hit the lotto.
